The 8800 Solar Panel Scheme is a wonderful initiative that is taken by the government of Punjab. This scheme is launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and is called the Roshan Gharana Scheme.
The basic purpose of this scheme is to provide 50,000 families with electricity in the first phase. 8800 Solar Panel Scheme will be allocated specially for those people who have a consumption of up to 500 electricity units. MARIUM NAWAZ SHAREEF approved this scheme for the consumers of 500 electricity units in the Punjab.
8800 Solar Panel Scheme – Roshan Gharana
The government is introducing this scheme in various phases. In the first phase, people consuming up to 200 electricity units will be allocated free solar panels from the government. Consumers of electricity ranging from 200 to 500 will be allocated solar panels without interest in the second phase.
The people who consume more than 500 electricity units will have to pay some amount, while the rest of the 75% payment will be paid by the government of Punjab.
They announced that 50,000 families are eligible for one KV solar panel. They can get this opportunity in the first phase by spending up to 100 units of electricity per month for the last six months. The government is waiting to receive more than 50,000 applications so that it can hold a lottery for the selection of 50,000 lucky winners. Eligibility Criteria For The 8800 Solar Panel Scheme
The families should meet the eligibility criteria for the Roshan Gharana scheme set by the government of Punjab. Those families who fulfill the requirements of the GIT can take advantage of the benefits of this 8800 solar panel scheme. The requirements for this scheme are
To take advantage of this solar scheme, the families should belong to Punjab. It means this scheme is especially for the Punjabi families.
The families should have a Pakistani identity card to take advantage of this scheme. Otherwise, they would be unable to apply for this program.
Government officials or employees of the government cannot apply for this scheme because they are not eligible for it.
Families who hold the Punjab identity card but live in another part of Pakistan can still take advantage of this scheme. It means they are eligible for this $8800 solar panel scheme.
Eligible families must have their electricity bills from the last six months to apply for this scholarship.

For the registration of this scheme, the people need some important documents that are required, like
You have a copy of your CNIC card to scan.
You must show your property power documents and authorization letters that you received from the property owner.
It requires a recent electric bill to apply for this scheme.
You have to give proof of your monthly income to the government.
How To Register For The 8800 Solar Panel Scheme

First, you have to visit the nearest bank of Punjab in your locality.
In the bank, you have to ask for the Roshan Gharana Scheme registration form. The agent in the bank will provide you with this form.

When you fill out the form with all the required information correctly, it will attach all the physical copies of the required documents.
Once you have attached all the documents with the filled-out form, return it to the agent at the bank. In this way, your registration process will be completed.
Use The 8800 Code To Check The Eligibility
The government of Punjab provided poor families with an 8800 code to check their eligibility and registration. They can use this code to get a solar panel from the government.
Families can use this code by sending their ID card to this code to qualify for this scheme. It allows people to check their eligibility for this scheme by sending their ID with this code: 8800.
How To Apply For The 8800 Solar Panel Scheme
The process to apply for the 8800 Solar Panel Scheme is very easy and simple. You have to follow some steps, like
First, you have to send an SMS to 8800. You have to write your name, CNIC number, and electricity bill amount in this SMS.
Second, you will receive the response in the form of SMS. It will send you a unique application number and a link to an online application form that you can access easily in your browser.
Thirdly, you need to fill out the form with all the required information. You have to upload all the documents, such as the CNIC, electricity bill, and roof dimensions sketch, with the form as well.
Finally, you can submit your application and wait for approval from the government.
The Process of Installation Of Solar Panel
In terms of approval of your form, you will have the opportunity to receive solar panels from the government. The installation process is also done by the government.
The government sent a team to install the solar panel on your roof. That’s why this team visited your home. This process will be completed within a few hours, and you will have a solar panel on your roof.
Upon approval of your application, the government will issue a Roshan Gharana ID card.
