Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, recently released a detailed plan for constructing 100,000 houses for the poor and homeless throughout the province in installments. According to the latest news, She gave her approval to the plan after a high-level meeting to discuss the legal specifications and procedure of the program.

Following the meeting, it was decided to build over 3,000 houses for the poorest in each district of Punjab. CM Maryam gave the appropriate officials instructions to make sure the model houses were finished in six months.

To make payments easier for those with low incomes, she also issued orders to establish fair down payment and installment numbers, keeping into consideration the financial difficulties that the majority of people are facing.

The Government of Punjab already transferred 5 Billion to Phatha to start the construction of houses. According to the latest announcement, Phatha is going to construct 10,000 houses in the first phase. They will finalize the top 5 cities where cast houses are going to be constructed, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Sialkot are the top priorities.

In Lahore, Riwand Road is selected for the construction of Low cast houses. She continued to say that the quality of these homes’ construction will not be compromised. According to Maryam, the Punjab government committed to providing housing for the poor, therefore these modular houses would be delivered to homeless individuals.
