EOBI Appointed FIA Accused As Director General Of Banking Service

Today Employee Old Age Benefits Institution has appointed the main accused of FIA Asif Azad as Director General of banking service. Asif Azad is nominated in 08 FIR by the Federal Investigation Agency. He remained suspended from service for 03 years and also remained in lockup (Adyala Jail). He was punished in a 40 Arab Rupees corruption case by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. His appointment for this critical post is very dangerous for EOBI pensioners. It is also an unlawful act towards the EOBI pension program. 

When Asif Azad was punished then he was posted as director of finance and accounts head office. The FIA department stands an inquiry against Asif Azad, Zafar Iqbal Gondal, Wahid Khurshed Qamar, Anjum Sadiq Sadeeqi, and some other people who were the main accused in this case. FIA gave  19 FIRs against the above officers of the EOBI program.

Asif Azad kept enjoying government cars, Fuel, House, And many other services after making a mega corruption. In 2019 new posted chairman of EOBI Mr. Muhammad Ayub Sheikh suspended the Asif Azad from his service.  Accused Asif Azad took bail from the court. 

Accused Asif Azad was restored to his service according to notification No. 19/2023  and posted head office in Karachi. He is appointed Director General EOBI Banking Service head office in Karachi. He can’t be a good officer for the EOBI pensioner. 

EOBI is a trust-based department. It provides financial support to needy and poor employees after their retirement. EOBI authority thinks good for the old pensioner and cancels this notification of this unlawful appointment.
