Does An EOBI Employee Claim Pension In The Following Conditions? According to the pension rules, EOBI provides them a grant at the time of retirement of the EOBI employee. In the following conditions, an employee of a private organization can claim a pension grant at the time of his retirement.

When a man retires after the age of 60 years and a woman retires after 55 years they claim pension but if due to some reason they can’t claim pension then EOBI gives them a pension grant. Following are some conditions where an employee can’t claim the pension. 

  • When an employee registered with the EOBI program after the age of 18 years and before the age of 40 years and his working period with a private organization was less than 15 years then he can’t claim a pension.
  • An employee’s age was 40 to 45 years at the time of registration with EOBI and his working experience was less than 7 years so he can’t claim the pension. 
  • If an employee’s age was 45 years or up to 45 years at the time of registration with the EOBI program and his working experience was less than 5 years then he can’t claim the pension.

In these conditions, an employee can’t claim a pension but he can claim a pension grant. A pension grant is a specific amount that is provided by EOBI after retirement.
